Today I am feeling inspired by the butterfly.  Not because they are beautiful,whimsical creatures, but because they have the ability to metamorphosis and become something one hundreds times more beautiful and amazing than they once were!  It is no secret that the cost of metals have been on the rise and that has been causing some challenges and hurtles for us this year.  I believe what makes a truly great business person is one who can evolve and change with the times, demands, trends and market.  This is what inspires me when I sit down at my desk each morning.  So, my new motto is, “make like a butterfly”…….

There have been so many things happening here in the Lotus Studio!  There is a frenzy in the air while we are in preparations for the holiday season and all that is coming in the new year.  I was delighted yesterday when our 2011 catalog proofs arrived, hooray!  The quality of the prints and images are just amazing, if I do say so myself.  This is the final process before we send this bad boy to print and we are all patting ourselves on the back to have our largest project of the year nearly complete, and way ahead of schedule (double bonus)!

We also want to acknowledge our amazing team of jewelers and office staff for their tremendous hard work and dedication.  A large part of our success is due to the talented people we have behind the scenes.  They have been working feverishly filling holiday orders for our retailers and building stock for what is to come.  Here is a fabulous picture of what 1,500 tags look like that are waiting to be adorned with gems, monogrammed, placed on chains and lovingly sent out!

So we are in the midst of creating our 2011 catalog complete with professional studio shots and gorgeous model pictures, all featuring our fabulous jewelry!  Although it always proves to be a huge undertaking we still manage to have a good time while we are hard at work….

It was perfect weather for our outdoor shoot this year and Sherwood Gardens was in full bloom providing the most magnificent backdrop to our images….

As you can see our gorgeous models just rocked it out of the park!  We are so excited to get our edited pictures back that will be featured in our new catalog!

And a great big thanks to Signe Renn from Avenue Studios Photography who worked with us on both our model shoot and studio shots.  We can’t wait to show off her amazing work!!!
